Carusele -- Sales Development Representative (SDR)

The responsibility of the Carusele SDR is to grow sales by contacting and closing prospects.

The SDR is the Carusele sales front-line and is responsible for a considerable proportion of revenue and growth. This is an exciting role that demands attention to detail and an organized approach to daily activities. Team members are well supported, receive direct feedback and have ample opportunities for advancement.

This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop leads and opportunities from multiple sources including prospect lists, discovery and individual research. The primary responsibility is to qualify and nurture inquiries that are generated by numerous outbound marketing campaigns.

This role reports to the Vice President Sales and will have significant collaboration with the Sales, Business Development and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and maintain consistent daily phone and email contact with Carusele prospects to set meetings and presentations
  • Follow up promptly and diligently on leads and inquiries, delivering a positive experience throughout the process
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships to move opportunities into the sales funnel
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Carusele products to educate prospects on our value proposition
  • Ensure accurate prospect data and all interactions are properly maintained in Salesforce
  • Maintain excellent relationships with all Carusele teams and individuals and contribute to meetings in a positive and professional manner
  • Collaborate with the Carusele Sales team to ensure the accurate and timely prospect hand-offs  

Metrics:

  • Meeting or exceeding monthly qualified lead objectives and quotas
  • Daily # of leads reached, meaningful sales interactions, lead to contact conversion and opportunity stages  
  • Monthly and Quarterly sales closes and revenue
  • Utilization of time spent on outbound actions
  • Opportunity lead-time, measured by first contact to close
  • Closed deal volume and deal size trends

Desired Experience:

  • 1-3 years of sales experience preferred; digital and social media experience a plus
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal, written, and active listening)
  • Drive, conscientiousness and perseverance to conduct outbound leads daily
  • A dynamic “hunter” personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential
  • Team oriented with ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience using Salesforce.com is required

Education:

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related track
  • Supplemental relevant education such as sales training programs
